Under coach Matt Fiscus, Trojan golf has won 9 of the last 10 Inter-County Conference championships (as of 2016). The 2016 team went 8-0, including wins over Everett (341-379) and Tussey Mountain (341-422), led by Trey Heffelfinger, J’dyn Yetter, Trey Booher, and Ben Shoop. It's a genuinely strong program that just hasn't gotten its own deep-dive research pass yet.

Elinor H. Wible (1924-2012) taught business education at Mount Union High School and Saltillo High School after earning her degree at Bucknell in 1945 — and built one of the most decorated amateur golf careers in this region's history. Playing out of the American Legion Country Club (the same course, on Country Club Road, that hosts today's Trojan golf matches), she won 48 ALCC championships and 25 Central Counties championships, competed in the 22nd Women's Western Open in 1951 alongside LPGA legends Patty Berg and Babe Didrikson Zaharias, and was featured in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd” in 1986. She was inducted into the Huntingdon County Sports Hall of Fame in 1998. The Elinor Wible Memorial Golf Tournament is still held every June at ALCC.
